Dear Friends, I want to thank every one of you for your dedication to my campaign and for believing in my experience and ability to lead in Sacramento and stand up for what our community needs. The fight is not over. As Oakland's City Attorney, I will continue to work for healthy, clean, and safer neighborhoods, advocate for our children and protect our environment. I want to thank the many volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy to my campaign, walking neighborhoods and working the phones, talking to voters. And a big thank you to those who hit the streets on Election Day, some starting at 7 a.m., until well past the poll closure at 8 p.m. From day one we had an incredible team of volunteers, donors, campaign staff and mentors--thank you all! I would not be where I am today if it weren't for your support, dedication and enthusiasm. Stay tuned for more information on a volunteer Thank You Party in mid-July.
